A Successful Day

Today was the mom to mom sale at my church. Proceeds went towards our adoption expenses. Today was a day to remind me that as much as I try to be in control, God is the one with all the control. A lesson that I forget each day of my life and He whacks me on the head and says, "Hello! I'm God, ye of little faith. I've got everything under control here." And then I respond with a meek and humble, "You're right." You would think after 34 years I would have learned this lesson by now.
So, yes I did work hard to set up this event. Yes, I put in a lot of hours and leg work. Yes, I laid awake at night with worry. Now that I am exhausted, I look back and see I could have slept more and worried less about the event being a success.
I am VERY thankful for all the wonderful friends that Dave and I have made at our church who came out to help. And even more thankful for all the strangers that helped.
So all in all, it was a very successful day......all thanks and praise to God!
